Architects @ The Egyptian Room
As the first notes of Elegy raced through the speakers, the energy in the room held their breath as the intro slowly built with white backlights perfectly illuminating vocalist, Sam Carter. As the first minute concluded, the crowd breathed out and the energy ruptured across the Egyptian Room as the lights began to strobe and all of Architects were showcased on stage.
With the nights gathering welcomed in the crowd, safe and sound, they were built for the Whiplash. As the breakdown for Whiplash built, waves of anticipation reverberated through the room as the band instructed everyone to crouch down before bursting into a jumping frenzy when the right moment struck.
In true celebration of The Sky, The Earth, & All Between Architects’ set consisted of 7 songs from their newest album alongside fan favorites from their previous releases like Doomsday, Impermanence andGiving Blood. Fans had to hold out for the encore for the bands two most popular songs, Seeing Red followed by Animals. As the last note rang out and setlists were tossed from stage, Indianapolis proved their love for the British metalcore band and left every ounce of energy in the room.
With a rambunctious circle pit that never seemed to slow, to swing dancing bananas, crowd surfers on crutches, and little ones on shoulders, Architects in Indianapolis was truly an unforgettable experience for all and the perfect conclusion to Architects’ Broken Mirror North America tour.
